Corndogs! and Firefly June 1, 2010

Oh hey! Guess what? Guess what guess what guess what?

CORNDOGS! Hoo! Ha! Nerdfighters!

Apparently, I just got invited to the tenth birthday party of a girl named Zola. She is friends with Thea and the Sometimes Demons, and apparently she is very nice and anti-demon. Whateva. I guess I’ll go, being as odds are I probably won’t get beaten up again. *pleasepleasplease* And I suppose, even if something undesirable happens, it’ll make a good blog.

The sacrifices I make for you.

Anywho, guess what I did this weekend? I finished Firefly and Serenity! Wooohoooo! (SPOILER ALERT!!!)

Okay, so after watching the last episode of Firefly, I was sort of like, “Huh?” because no one died! Hooray! I could’ve sworn someone would’ve died!

I was freaking sad about Inara leaving, because she and Mal were totally in love and he screwed her now-dead friend and nooooo!

But then came Serenity. By that, I don’t mean the ship, I mean the Big Damn Movie. Then, of course, they had to kill Book and Wash. I mean, seriously, Wash? Wash? Everyone loves Wash! You can’t kill him!

Then again, that’s what I said about one of my favorite characters in Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog. Gorram Joss Whedon, always killing the awesome ones… *sob.*

I was really surprised more awesome people didn’t die, though. Like Kaylee? I totally thought Kaylee was dead. Also Simon. Also River, but only when she jumped into that room full of Reavers. I mean, I thought she was sacrificing herself, but she fought the Reavers! That is so hardcore!

And Mal and Zoe and Inara and Jayne and Simon and Kaylee didn’t die! Yaaaaaay!

Basically, minus the people who died, it was totally awesome.

I’ll never forgive Joss Whedon for killing Wash, though. That was just wrong.

Sick and wrong.

In other news, it’s June! I think! Maybe? I’m pretty sure it’s June. But that means it’s almost summer! Wouldn’t be able to tell, though-it’s cold and rainy outside. Blegh. Freaking rain, I want summmmmeeeerrrrr! Please?

Pretty pretty please?

Awesome: FIREFLY!

Unawesome: *sniff* Wash and Book….

Andbutso I didn’t actually meet Hank Green and my family members aren’t all crazy zombies. April 8, 2010

Oh hey! So, you know I love you, blog, and I know I love blogging, but I got Will Grayson, Will Grayson today and that means that all I want to do is read. I started reading the first three or so pages, and I am already completely in love. I haven’t even reached David Levithan’s first chapter yet, but I love it already. John Green is seriously one of my favorite authors. He’s hilarious, he’s deep, he’s the freaking creator of the Nerdfighters. He can get away with things like using the word “andbutso” (as seen on page 4), which I love so much. Andbutso I love him and his writing very much.

In related news, I had a dream last night that was sort of awesome. I’m pretty sure other people don’t like hearing about my dreams, so I’ll keep it short.

So Boo and I were taking a walk, which I normally don’t do this time of year because it’s still cold and my knees hurt because I have tibial torsion which isn’t as bad as the plague but it still hurts, and it means that my leg bones are twisted which sounds way worse than it actually is, but anyway, I’m ranting. So Boo and I were taking a walk around the block, and we were almost at my house, and then I saw Hank Freaking Green. I was too nervous to say hi, so I just walked past (which, by the way, would never happen in real life, I’d probably run up to him screaming and squeeing).

So we just walked past and then all of a sudden The Katherine was walking with him, and I was just going up to the stairs when he yelled, “Happy National Friendship Day!” to me and Boo. I was totally unaware that it was National Friendship Day, but that was fine because Hank Green seriously. So I yelled, “DFTBA!” and flashed the Nerdfighter hand symbol all “HOO! HA! NERDFIGHTERS!”-like, and it was awesome. I don’t know why I didn’t stop to say hi, but Dream Me does weird things.

I sometimes wish my dreams could happen in real life, except for ones like the dream where I was running from crazy zombies that looked like my family, and they were trying to eat me, and then Shinika picked me up in her car and we were running away but then Shinika was a crazy zombie too and she was going to eat me and then I woke up. Not ones like that.

Okay, so a lot of cool things happened today, like how Thea and Ruth and I almost blew up a microwave but we didn’t and then we made green cookies. Sorry, but that will have to wait for tomorrow. Will Grayson awaits me.

Awesome: John Green.

Unawesome: Crazy zombie relatives. I mean, I love my family, but… zombies are scary.

Mum just licked our cat. October 17, 2009

Seriously. She just licked our cat, Lexie. It was awesome. We were just standing there, talking, and she put her face on Lexie’s head a little bit and was like, “I did it.” And I was like, “You did what?” And she was like, “I licked her. I licked Lexie.” And I was like, “You licked our cat when my camera wasn’t on???” And she was like, “I’ll do it again.”

So I got out my camera and filmed her licking Lexie. It was awesome. I’ll post it sometime.
So, today was marvelous! Mainly, I just watched Vlogbrother videos all day. Currently, I’m attempting to watch every single Vlogbrother video ever, starting at January 1st, 2007. I started sometime in the summer and currently, I’m sometime in 2009 (June, I think).

So for your entertainment, and because I’m madly in fangirlish love with John and Hank Green, I’m going to link some of their awesome videos that I watched today. I would do, like, the best Vlogbrothers videos EVER, but that would take too long.

Well, I should probably go! Best wishes! DFTBA!

Harry Potter and the Post of Lists October 12, 2009

Hi, everyone!

Today, I rode Paris (the horse) again. Whenever I hear his name, I think of Peris from the Uglies series by Scott Westerfeld. I FREAKING LOVE SCOTT WESTERFELD! You should read that series. Now. Do it.

As a matter of fact, I’m going to list some books that you had better read right the freak now or I will stab you I really recommend reading. (DO IT RIGHT NOW.)

  1. The Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling. How have you survived not reading these books?
  2. An Abundance of Katherines by John Green
  3. Paper Towns by John Green
  4. Looking for Alaska by John Green (Seriously. Have I mentioned lately how much I love him?)
  5. The Uglies series by Scott Westerfeld
  6. Geektastic: Stories from the Nerd Herd edited by Holly Black and Cecil Castellucci
  7. The Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling. How have you survived not reading these books?
  8. His Dark Materials by Phillip Pullman (it’s a series)
  9. 13 Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson
  10. Suite Scarlett by Maureen Johnson
  11. The Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling. How have you survived not reading these books?

Of course, those are just a few. Go read them! Now!

Alright, now that you’ve finished reading those, hi. My name is Daisy. I don’t really know what to write about. I write blogs about Harry Potter and being an obsessive fangirl and Starbuck-whores. In second or third grade I wrote a hero report about J.K. Rowling.
I think I’m going to make some lists today. The first one was the “books that you had better read right the freak now or I will stab you I really recommend reading. (DO IT RIGHT NOW.)” list. Now, I’ll make a fangirl list. Of people I fangirl.

The Fangirl List:

  1. J.K. Rowling. Duh.
  2. Wizard rockers. Seriously. All of them. Like
  3. Matt Maggiacomo or
  4. Lauren Fairweather or
  5. Paul and Joe DeGeorge or any of the other wrockers I madly fangirl. Like
  6. Alex Carpenter.
  7. John Green.
  8. Hank  Green
  9. Whoever invented the Internet. I am in love with you.
  10. There are probably more but I don’t feel like listing every single one.

That was fun! I should make another list, probably, or this post won’t live up to its title.

Hmmmm…. How about:

People/Things I am Terrified of:

  1. Voldemort
  2. Hitler
  3. Sarah Palin
  4. Vlad the Impaler
  5. Thea’s brother’s girlfriend, Sunshine, who seems pretty nice but once told Max to whip Thea.

Next list…

Things I have been for Halloween:

  1. On my first Halloween I was only 1 day old.
  2. Eeyore. I think.
  3. A butterfly
  4. A witch
  5. Robin Hood
  6. A ghost
  7. Hermione Granger
  8. Luna Lovegood
  9. Moaning Myrtle
  10. Rita Skeeter
  11. Bellatrix Lestrange

This Halloween, I’m being Dolores Umbridge.

Alright, I’m going to go. Bye!
